What VIP is
VIP is the one paid placement on Egasi. A VIP ad is shown ahead of ordinary ads in its section’s feed and in search results for the period you buy, and carries a VIP mark on its card. Everything else about the ad — its page, its photos, its price check, how buyers contact you — is the same as for every other ad. Posting itself stays free within your section’s allowance; VIP is bought per ad, for a chosen number of days.
What it changes
- Position: VIP ads come first in the section feed and in search results, newest VIP first, then the ordinary ads.
- The card: a VIP mark, so the ad is recognisable in a list.
- The VIP gallery: each section has a page of its VIP ads, and the home page shows VIP ads in a carousel.
What it does not change
- The price check: buyers still see whether your price is in the band for similar ads.
- Moderation: a VIP ad is checked like any other and must follow the same rules.
- The buyer’s decision: more people open a VIP ad, but they still compare it with the others. VIP multiplies a good ad; it does not rescue a weak one.
How to buy it
From Ad Center (My ads) or from your own ad’s page, choose Promote, pick the number of days and pay through one of the payment services Egasi supports. The VIP period starts when payment is confirmed and ends automatically; you can see the remaining time in Ad Center. Sellers with several ads can buy a package of VIP placements at once. Prices depend on the section and the period and are shown before you pay.
When it pays off
VIP earns its price when the item is worth a fair amount, the market is crowded, and the ad is already good: clear photos, a complete description, a price inside the band. A common car model in Tashkent, a flat for rent in a popular district, a current phone model — these compete with dozens of similar ads, and being first in the list is worth days of waiting.
It rarely pays for cheap items, for rare items that are found by search anyway, or for an ad that is priced far above the band — the extra visitors leave without writing.
A fair comparison
Before buying VIP, fix what is free to fix: retake the cover photo in daylight, fill in every field, compare your price with the price guide for your model or category, and reply to messages within the hour. Most ads that “need VIP” need one of those first. Then, if the market is crowded and the item is worth it, VIP is the next step.
