Why some ads sell in two days
Buyers on a classifieds site make three decisions in a row: whether to open your ad, whether to trust it, and whether to write to you first or to someone else. Photos decide the first, the description the second, and your price and reply time the third. An ad that gets all three right is usually gone within a week; one that misses one of them collects views and no messages.
Nothing here is a trick. It is simply giving buyers what they would ask for anyway, before they have to ask.
Photos: the first decision
Shoot in daylight, on a plain background, with the item clean and whole in the frame. Six to ten photos is a good number: the overall view, each side, close-ups of the parts buyers care about (the dashboard of a car, the label of a jacket, the screen of a phone switched on) and, honestly, any damage. Your first photo is the one in the feed — make it the clearest full view, not a detail.
Choose the cover photo deliberately: Egasi lets you pick which photo is shown on the card. Avoid stock images and screenshots from the manufacturer — buyers assume you are hiding the real thing.
Price: inside the band
When enough similar ads exist, the create form shows the typical asking price for your category, model or number of rooms. Price near the middle of the band and the ad gets replies from the first day. A price well above the band is skipped; a price well below is marked as a good deal for buyers and sells quickly, which is fine if speed is what you want.
Our price guides show the same figures by model, by year and by region, plus the trend over the last year. Check the guide before you decide, and say in the ad whether the price is firm or negotiable — it saves both sides a message.
Title and description: getting found
Put what it is, the main spec and the condition in the title: “Chevrolet Cobalt 2020, 1 owner, 48 000 km”, “iPhone 13 128 GB, battery 91%”, “3-room flat, Yunusabad, 7th floor”. Buyers search and filter by exactly these words; a title like “Urgent sale!!!” is found by nobody.
In the description, answer the questions a buyer would ask on the phone: why you are selling, what was repaired or replaced, what is included, where and when it can be seen. Fill in every field the form offers — the filters on Egasi run on those fields, so an empty field means your ad is missing from that search.
Replies: the third decision
Most messages arrive in the first two days. Buyers on Egasi can write in chat without an account (after confirming a phone number by SMS), call, or open WhatsApp or Telegram when you allow it. Answer within the hour where you can; a buyer who gets no reply writes to the next ad.
When the item is sold, mark the ad as sold in Ad Center. The page stays, offers stop, and other buyers are not left waiting for an answer.
When to pay for VIP
VIP is paid placement: the ad is shown first in its section’s feed and search results for the period you buy. It helps when the market is crowded — a common car model in a big city, a flat in a popular district — and the ad is already good. It does not fix a bad photo or a price far above the band; buyers still open the ad and still compare.
