Description

Translated from Russian

An excellent tool for detecting harmful impurities in water: nitrates, nitrites, heavy metals (copper, zinc, lead), ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, various organic (bacteria, fungi, mold) and petroleum-organic (gasoline, oils, etc.) contaminants, pesticides, iron, rust. An electrolyzer is an electrical device consisting of two pairs of electrodes made from different metals. Water electrolysis converts dissolved substances from an invisible phase to a visible one and shows the difference between purified and tested water. One electrode from the pair is made of steel, and the other from aluminum. Each pair of electrodes is immersed in a glass. Usage: 1. Fill 2 glasses with water: one with source water, the second with purified water. 2. First check the salt content of the source water with a TDS meter. Salt content should not exceed 500 mg/l. If there is an excess, dilute the source water with pure water to the required level. The limitation is due to safety: the electrical conductivity of water with salt content above 500 mg/l is so high that it can cause a short circuit in the device. 3. Screw the electrodes to the device according to the markings on the body. 4. Lower the first pair of contacts into one glass, the second into the other. 5. Plug the electrolyzer into the socket. 6. Turn on the device. 7. Monitor the changes in the glass with source water. 8. When changes are visible to the naked eye, turn off the device. 9. After completion, remove the electrolyzer contacts from the water. 10. WARNING: wipe the iron contacts with a cloth or paper towel immediately after removing the contacts from the water. Otherwise, deposits on the contacts will be difficult to remove later. CAUTION! NEVER touch the electrolyzer contacts if it is plugged into the socket. Technical specifications: Voltage: 220V; Minimum operating temperature: 0°C; Maximum operating temperature: 50°C; Length: 100 mm; Width: 25 mm; Height: 35 mm; Weight: 170 g.
